BUILDING USAGE AND RENTALS
Building Occupancey During Covid: Please contact us to receive information or get entry to the building. Currently, some groups are meeting online and some are meeting in-person but in larger rooms, so it is advisable to contact us for meeting information. Facial mask usage is required on the campus at all times.
Looking For A Space To Meet or Rent?
The Newtown Congregational Church building is a much used community resource. It offers the use of its rooms and grounds for rental to organizations and individuals. Local organizations rent various rooms for meetings, training, fundraisers, concerts, scout ceremonies & pinewood derbies, and homeschooling. Individuals use the building for weddings, memorial services, family reunions, meetings, fundraisers, receptions, anniversaries & birthday parties, etc...
The building was completed during two phases of construction. In 1989 the Sanctuary was built and in 2006 the remainder of the structure was completed. Most of the building is fully heated and air conditioned. An elevator and wheel chair ramps allow those with compromised mobility to easily enter into and navigate through the building.
As with any large building, it requires constant maintenance. Our congregation generously contributes to the church budget in order to keep this House of God in good condition and our volunteers are dedicated to working on and contracting out tasks that need repair. Rental incomes also contribute to the maintenance of the building, so although there are minimal set fees to rent the various rooms, additional financial gifts are greatly appreciated.

Visitors are welcome to explore the church anytime it is open:
Sundays 9:30AM (stay for 10:00AM worship) until noon
and Tuesdays through Fridays 9:00AM until 5:00PM
The Sanctuary
Center aisle with 15 pews per side.
Capacity: 300 (10 people per pew)
Our santuary is a serene room with adjustable lighting.
The PA system was updated in 2018.
It is heated, but not equipped with airconditioning.
Handicap accessible from interior (via elevator) and exterior (via a sidewalk ramp).
The Great Room (fellowship hall):
40' x 75' room
13' x 16' stage'
Air conditioned
Capacity: 225 (8 person round tables)
Carpeted around perimeter with a central wooden floor.
Available for use: 15 (60") round tables accomodate seating for 7 people; 90 navy fabric folding chairs; 5 rectangular 6' serving tables.
