Senior Citizen Resources
NEWTOWN HELPING HANDS
Purpose: A Covid-19 response initiative that offers services of shopping and delivery for seniors and other at-risk Newtown residents.
Current Needs: Volunteers age 18-59 are needed to grocery shop and deliver for one hombound client every 2+ weeks for 2-3 hours. Flexible scheduling. This is an essential service that often leads to meaningful, through distanced, relationships.

FRIENDS OF NEWTOWN SENIORS (FONS)
Purpose: A communication service for Newtown's age 55+ residents. Subscribers receive senior-focused information directly into email boxes.
